Blue Poppy Classics are packaged in a bottle of 120 capsules (500 mg each) and are 10:1 concentrated extracts. Their refined extraction method delivers the decoction equivalent of 5 grams of herbs per capsule, allowing you to use fewer capsules to deliver the suggested daily dose.

Dosage
According to Him-che Yeung in Handbook of Chinese Herbs and Formulas, Vol. 2, the standard daily dose in decoction for this formula is 66 grams. Because of the 10:1 concentration ratio and the efficiency of our manufacturing process it would take only 9 capsules per day of Blue Poppy's version of this formula to equal the standard daily dose. The actual prescribed dose should be determined by the practitioner on a case by case basis.

Expired? ITS STILL EFFECTIVE AND GOOD. DO NOT WORRY.

Although I havent tried this brand specifically, I want to ease your minds by letting you know:Do not mind the expiration date! I've had ones given by my acupuncturist and they were years past expiration and just as good as the unexpired ones. Supplements that are sold HAVE to have an expiration date printed on it, even if it doesnt expire. Dont be deterred! Dried herbs dont expire in the right conditions! Keep it away from humidity and its just fine
