The basis for this formula is Su He Sheng Di Tang (Perilla, Mentha & Uncooked Rehmannia Decoction) as found in the Qing dynasty book, Yan Fang Xin Bian (A New Compilation of Tested Formulas) published in 1846. This has then been modified based on a combination of Heiner Fruehauf's published research and Bob Flaws's clinical experience. This formula is also based, in part, on the rationales for Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang (Pinellia Drain the Heart Decoction), Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction), Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Supplement the Center and Boost the Qi), and Xiao Yao San (Rambling Powder). Blue Poppy's version is a 10:1 extract.
Consider in cases of spleen qi vacuity with intestinal damp heat complicated by liver depression, stomach dryness, heart qi and blood vacuity.
The smell is too strong but it protects my kids and myself very well. I do recommend
I bought this for my granddaughter. It seems to work pretty good although I squirt it in my hands and then rub it on because it squirts out a lot at once.
While this product smells good and works great to repel insects, the sprayer pump leaked with each pump and it overflowed from the neck of the spray nozzle wasting product. Would defiantly buy this again in the hopes that it was just a faulty pump.
I've been using it for a month. I work outside and my work has a creek in the back. Mosquitos have a field day with my coworkers and I. I've been trying other organic bug sprays and while they were effective, there endurance throughout the day don't last as long as this keeper. Through an 8-hour work shift I only need to apply it once. Just my experience. 'Nuff said.
