I took this hot drink in the evening after having woke that day with a scratchy throat. Within 30 minutes I began to cough up sputum and two hours later my sore throat was gone. I continued taking this treatment three times the following day. My symptoms were relatively mild in the AM with increasing sinus pressure in the mid-afternoon/evening. By dinner time I had a horrific headache followed by a slight fever with chills...I think the pelargonium iodides were speeding up my cold and pushing it out of my system faster. The headache, I learned, was from the increased cytokines in my system, which multiply as your body's immune system amps up. The headache passed after a couple of hours and that's when I felt I began to round the corner. By the next day more mucuous was expelled by my sinuses and throat (very easily I may add) and by mid-afternoon on the second day I felt nearly fully recovered. I will continue my rounds of three doses for the next two days to ensure the virus is wiped out completely and am having my family take a lesser dose (2xs/day) to avoid having them become the new host. This is some truly powerful stuff. I highly recommend it and I will keep the lozenges in my purse as well so I can easily take one at the first sign of a cold. Excellent product!
