Is it really possible to get your clothes, towels and sheets bright and white - and stains out - without resorting to chlorine bleach or chemical stain removers?

Chlorine bleach is a known skin and nervous system irritant and can react with other chemicals to form potentially harmful substances. Not only can they be risky to you and your family, these substances can build up in the environment and seep into drinking water supplies and farming irrigation water.

Chemical stain removers are just as bad, if not worse. They typically contain a laundry list of chemicals that can irritate your skin, eyes and respiratory system. One common stain remover ingredient, Quaternium-15, releases low levels of formaldehyde, a chemical linked to allergies and cancer.

Contrary to what you might think, these toxic chemicals don't all wash out in your rinse cycle. These potential carcinogens, toxic chemicals, dyes and artificial fragrances can remain imbedded in the fibers of your clothes, towels and sheets.

The good news is there is a better, less hazardous way to remove stubborn stains from your laundry while helping your whites and colors look brighter.

Greener Cleaner Bleach Alternative brightens whites and colors without the use of harsh chemicals or bleach, dyes and fragrances. The color-safe, gentle-on-fabric formula made from naturally derived ingredients helps neutralize odors while it lifts stubborn stains.

Seems to work OK

I prefer tabs and pouches for dishwashing and laundry. They're just easier to use. These seem to work fine. They didn't leave powder residue on my dishes and my dishes seemed mostly clean. I did have one plastic container that had residue from tomato sauce left on it, but I really don't know if it would have happened if I'd used a different dishwasher detergent.

Works fine, but dubious environmental claims

The good news is that this stuff seem to clean our dishes just fine. But then I'm not too surprised as when I compare the ingredients list on this to the ingredients of the Cascade we've typically used, lo and behold there's not much difference. The claims of being plant and mineral derived are all well and good, but that is true of nearly all synthetic detergents.

Seems to work just like the name brand

We have tried these for several days now and I honestly cannot see a difference between this and the Cascade packs I normally use. The dishes come out fine, no streaks at all. I am pleased with this. This is a really good price for the amount of pouches you get.

Works great

These dishwasher pods work great. No food or residue is left behind. They dissolve completely. They have no scent. They're pretty much perfect.

Seems like it did the job!

The dishes all came out clean, but I do have a top of the line dishwasher, so that also might make a difference. There were still water spots on my pyrex dishes, but not on any of my other dishes. But that has always been the case and I do not think it is the detergent's fault. I think it is caused by our water itself because we do use Jet Dry and we still have always gotten those water spots from time to time.
