EpiIntegrity powder is designed to promote healthy modulation of mucosal immune response to support gastrointestinal (G.I.) integrity and function. Th2 modulation may be indicated when addressing immune balance in the G.I. tract. L-glutamine is an essential fuel for enterocytes (the cells that line the small intestine and colon), supporting cellular renewal, glutathione production and healthy, everyday tissue repair, while promoting healthy villous function. Arabinogalactan is a prebiotic fiber found in high concentrations in North American larch trees. It has been shown to increase the concentration of beneficial bacteria, such as Bacteroidetes and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii.

Beneficial microflora are crucial for proper gut associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) function and development. Research suggests higher levels of F. prausnitzii are associated with healthy cytokine balance and G.I. function. In clinical trials, arabinogalactan has been shown to promote immune cell function. In a randomized three-week trial involving healthy adults, arabinogalactan potentiated the innate immune system, supporting key first-line defense. Perilla supports cytokine homeostasis of the G.I. mucosal tissue. In a randomized, controlled trial involving 50 individuals, 150 mg of Benegut® Perilla frutescens extract twice daily offered statistically significant support for G.I. comfort.

Research suggests that perilla also helps maintain cytokine balance and stabilize mast cells. Astragalus promotes cytokine balance and supports macrophage, natural killer (NK) cell and T-cell activity. Adaptogens like astragalus support physiological and cellular homeostasis and have positive effects on immune function and antioxidant defenses. Deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) maintains intestinal comfort by supporting the protective mucosal lining.*

Best prenatal bill

I recommend all pregnant and breast feeding mothers to get this. However its hard to swallow so I used a pill cutter and cut it in two. Smells and taste horrible but its certainly worth the it.

WARNING: TASTES LIKE VOMIT

UPDATE: 10 weeks now, and have *barely* been able keep these enormous and disgusting pills down. Im at the point where Im considering switching to a different product for the time being. I wish they made these easier to swallow. Decreased to 3 stars because its that bad. Whyyyyyyyy Ok, real talk: these vitamins taste HORRIBLE. It reminds me of the taste of vomit. Its by far the worst tasting vitamin I have ever taken. Theyre extremely hard to get down as someone who is 8 weeks pregnant. I gag every time. For that, I took off a star. With that being said, the ingredients are top notch quality. I used to take a prenatal gummy that tasted delicious, but switched to Mega Foods due to their ingredients. It is one of the most natural vitamins on the market, and doesnt have the synthetic elements that almost all other vitamin companies use. My midwife was very pleased I was taking these. IF you can keep these vitamins down, theyre one of the best choices out there. A tip for taking them: I found that taking a sip of pure cranberry juice (like real, bitter, not from concentrate or blended cranberry juice) before taking the pills shocks my taste buds, and I am able to put them in my mouth and wash them down with more cranberry juice without tasting them. The downside: true cranberry juice is extremely bitter. I have been adding a little bit of sparkling water to it though, which makes it slightly bearable. Plus side: true cranberry juice consumption will help cleanse your bladder and prevent those annoying UTIs that come with pregnancy.

Love them

I've been suffering from anxiety. They said I was low in iron so I was placed on iron pills. But my anxiety seemed worse. These vitamins are a lifesaver. Idk what nutrients I'm lacking, but something in this has calmed my anxiety. It won't last but only a few hours, but they are heaven made for the time they are taken . There's also something that irritates my throat alil, but nothing unmanageable. I was my first time trying these. And will continue purchasing these vitamins.

Amazing Smell!

I love this scent. The downside is the cost for the size of the bottle. You pay double for a smaller container than you would for a larger bottle of other scents. But the scent is strong and lasts for a good amount of time. Will definitely buy again unless i'm able to find a better deal!

Poor packaging

Have loved this product - mostly for the ingredients. I usually have to take them with orange juice, due to the taste. However recent shipment showed up totally destroyed.
