I'm writing this review the day of receiving this sweet almond oil in the mail and wanted to report that I bought it through Amazon and there was a seal under the cap, no issues of leakage. Now Solutions is a reputable brand for essential oils and supplements and I wanted to verify the quality right away. I don't have previous experience with this oil on its own but this variety is similar in consistency to fractionated coconut oil although noticeably richer in texture. There is no noticeable scent and if this oil is somewhat refined for shelf stability, it doesn't compromise its therapeutic qualities. I rubbed a small amount (maybe 6-10 drops) onto my hands and nails and it did leave enough residue after an hour to smear on my phone's screen. Hands are noticeably softer even after several washes. Also used two drops on the ends of my frizzy hair and there is no noticeable residue but it's enough to look more polished. Wanted to add a few natural oils back into rotation, sweet almond oil in particular as a hair treatment but I feel I will be using it for hands, body and face. My skin breaks out easily so I will use sparingly on my face and report on results later. Sweet Almond oil rates at 2 on the comedogenic scale so is supposed to have less risk of clogging pores, but that's really an individual variable. I transferred some of the oil into a 1oz dropper bottle for ease of use and a little goes a long way, so this 4oz bottle will last me a long time! If this works well for me I'll keep repurchasing from this brand, and it's a bargain at $5 a bottle.
