It is just so hard to say with supplements what is working and what is not unless one truly and fairly rapidly experiences beneficial results that couldnt have been a result of some other factor. That being said, my wife and I both started taking this for very different reasons. Being and ever aging and perpetually sore guy, I was interested in the potential benefits to my bones, tendons and ligaments. Perhaps there was some benefit there certainly didnt appear to be any detriment but, if there was, it was so slight that I decide to discontinue use once we were done with the first bottle. This was as opposed to some other bone and joint supplements that I take on and off which are silly expensive, but produce effects that are discernable pretty quickly. Of course, even that could just be the placebo effect exacerbated by a lighter wallet. My wife, on the other hand, who is never aging and perpetually glowing, claims that she does see satisfactory results in the form of more supple looking skin and healthy hair. She does have great skin and hair, so its impossible for me to argue with the results that she has attributed to this product, but she also had great hair and skin prior to utilizing this particular product. If nothing else, the product is reasonably priced, so, in my opinion, if one were looking for a means to healthier skin and hair, and theres at least one person who believes it is effective for this purpose, theres very little risk in trying it out. For the bone and joint crowd, I, personally think there are better supplements for near-term results, but perhaps the results with this product are more apparent longer-term.

Jarrow Formulas Collagen Optimizer, berry Flavor, 6.9 oz is a good product. I have been using it for months with positive results. Prior to using Jarrow Formulas Collagen Optimizer, my nails chipped and split, I bruised terribly on my hands and arms. Since using Jarrow Formulas Collagen Optimizer, my nails are thick, they are no longer chipping and peeling, and they are beginning to grow. It's really made a difference in my well being. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating is that it took quite a while for the shipment to arrive. In addition, since this is a powder one needs to dilute it with about 8 oz. of liquid. It seems to be slightly effervescent so dissolves fairly well. I tend to fix the drink a while before I am going to drink it and stir it a few times. The berry flavor is okay.

I think this tasted kind of cloying. I just didn't like it. Too much. After a few months using as instructed, it really hasn't done anything at all, so I cannot recommend it.
