Studies indicate L. plantarum supports the immune function of post-surgery patients.* FloraPro-LP's controlled-release delivery also resists destruction by stomach acid and antibiotics. Proprietary Bio-Tract® technology protects this probiotic strain of bacteria from destruction by stomach acid.

This same technology also provides a controlled, extended-release delivery that first begins to release content after the ingredient reaches the small intestine. FloraPro-LP is provided in small spheres (8 mm), which allows for ease of dosing, even in children.

Only brand to not make me sick, but need a calcium supplement

Even after my previous pregnancies, I can't take regular multivitamins because they make me sick. These I've been able to keep down during this latest pregnancy. Yes, there are 3 a day, and NO, they do not have calcium, so you need a supplement. Calcium and iron block each other in absorption, so you really shouldn't take them together in a multivitamin anyway. I've always wondered why companies do that. And calcium carbonate is just chalk your body doesn't absorb, try to find something with calcium citrate, and don't take them close together to each other.
