Tampons are not all created equal and, contrary to what you might assume, they're often not made from 100% cotton. If you read tampon box labels, you're likely to find such ingredients as rayon, polyester, polypropylene, fragrance, and fiber finishes (whatever that means).

Considering that the average woman will use about 12,000 tampons in her lifetime, what you put in your body matters. That's why Emrita've constructed it's® tampons from a women's health perspective.

Emerita tampons are made of 100% certified organic cotton. That means you can expect Emerita's cotton to be free from pesticide residues. Emerita cotton is cleansed with a mild hydrogen peroxide solution, so it's also chlorine-free. What's more, cotton is a great, natural fiber. It's inherently fluffy, absorbent and requires minimal chemical processing. Cotton is simply cotton.

Construction matters, too. So Emrita tampons also feature a high-quality security veil-a fine, cotton outer mesh to help keep the fibers in the core of the tampon, where they belong. A lot of tampons don't have a security veil, or if they do it's often not a very secure one. Without a high-quality security veil, there's more risk of tampon fibers shedding and being left behind.

Emerita® Applicator Tampons are rayon-free, perfume-free, chlorine-free and synthetic-free. There's nothing here but 100% organic cotton goodness. All tampons are not created equal. What you put in your body matters™.

Emrita tampons come with a biodegradable cardboard applicator. Available in Regular, Super and Super-Plus absorbencies.

Ingredients: Absorbent core: 100% certified organic cotton. Overwrap: Organic cotton nonwoven. Withdrawal cord: Cotton cord and policotton sewing yarn. Applicator: Cardboard. Protective wrap: cellulose paper.
Certified organic by the Ethical and Environmental Institute (ICEA), Bologna Italy Always select the lowest tampon absorbency to meet your needs. Remember to remove or change your tampon every 4-6 hours. Attention: Tampons are associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome, a rare but serious disease that may cause death. If this is organic, Ill pass.

When I tell you I had to WRESTLE these suckers in... I was on vacation and started my period so my options were limited. I found these in a store for $15 and was desperate enough to buy them. The applicator is awful...like throw it away and do it with your hand awful. Then, once I managed to get them in, they were uncomfortable. All around shouldve been better for the steep price

It took me a few somewhat painful tries to figure that out and even after fiddling ...

Trying to be more ecologically friendly, but these tampons weren't enough to make me switch. The applicator didn't function properly due to a punch being made through the tube. It took me a few somewhat painful tries to figure that out and even after fiddling with the tube, it didn't work well. Oh well, back to my chemically ways for the moment, until I feel like trying something else

Great!

These work great! I was hesitant as I read reviews saying the applicator would crumple during use but I am on my second period with these and have had no issues!
