Tastes just like your typical Lipton tea, nothing like real matcha. However, it is organic, so there's that.

I was pleased with its mild taste. Not bitter at all. I can drink it without sweetening. I think this is because they put less tea in the bag. It will taste too strong if you over steep it, though, so steep for a short time. It also has a nice, fast energizing effect. Great way to get matcha. They mix it with other types of green teas, so the matcha doesn't taste too strong. It tastes really high quality, very fresh. I like to combine it in a tall mug with a chai black tea bag, as chai energizes me, too. I don't need to use sweetener as taste is mild enough. I like that it's organic. I like this brand and that it's in U.S. Having tried so many green teas over the years, this is the only brand I really like. Love it!

Will not purchase this again. You cut the paper in 2 places being ever so careful not up cut the tea bag. Its very inconvenient. Do not recommend the brand.
