In mid-January, we took our 9 year old pitbull mix Molly to an acupuncturist because she was having a shoulder issue. It turns out that the two most helpful things about the visit were probably not the acupuncture session. First of all, we surmised that the shoulder issue was most likely from Molly jumping from my SUV several times every day. The vet recommended a ramp and we have been using one ever since. The second good thing to come from the visit her for recommending we start using Harmonize the Qi. We were directed to use one pill in the morning and one pill at night for the first three days, and then to up that to two pills in the morning and two pills at night. For the first couple of weeks, as we were using the ramp, shortening her walks, and she was taking the pills, we noticed steady improvement in her shoulder. Probably about a month later total, the limp that she had on her right side, was completely gone. At that point, the vet stated that we could go back to all regular activities, except keep using the ramp. We have a pretty steady routine of where we walk her. For about two years now, we have seen a steady decline in her energy during these walks. For the last six months of 2018, you literally had to cajole her every step of the way for the last third of the walk. If we allowed her to just lay down on the side of the road, she probably would have! Well, the first time I went back to the usual walk routine, I was really surprised to find she stayed with me the whole way from start to finish. There was no point where she was lagging behind by two or 3 feet which had been a regular occurrence. I was thinking to myself, hmmm, this is a nice development. I know that her shoulder bothered her, but I really don't think that was bringing down her energy level to where it was. After all, if you threw a stick, she could still run after it full speed. With each subsequent week of her being on Harmonize the Qi, we have seen her energy and playfulness increase. In wintertime, because of snowbanks, we let her off leash more. She was wondering ahead of me frequently, and when she did lag behind, and I called her, she would literally come sprinting every time. (before these pills, if she was lagging, sometimes I would have to go back and put her on leash to cajole her along) The most dramatic example of her improvement came this past weekend. We visited my son in Maine, and we decided to take her along on a snowshoe hike. (All the trail was already packed down.) We all knew that it was not likely Molly would make it to the top of the hill that was at the end of the hike. We figured we would just head out and go as far as we could before she started to look pooped. Well, remarkably, she made the whole hike to the top and not once did I have to cajole her. This is a hike we would not have taken her on at any point in the last two years. She just seems to simply get tired. However, this remarkable product has seemingly taken a couple of years off of her life. It's a joy to see her so playful and full of energy.
