L-taurine supports a regular heartbeat, minimizes the loss of potassium and allows for proper electrolyte utilization. The inclusion of potassium is necessary for maintaining electrolyte balance for normal heartbeat and blood pressure levels. DMG (N,N-Dimethylglycine) acts as an antioxidant and supports circulation and immune system health, while CoQ10 supports heart tissue oxygenation and heart muscle strength. L-carnitine supports the use of fat for energy and oxygen utilization while also supporting fat metabolism and helping the body balance healthy triglyceride and cholesterol levels. Directions for Use:
Cats: Give 1 capsule daily.
Dogs: Give 1 capsule, per 25 lbs of body weight, daily. If giving more than 1 capsule, divide between AM and PM.

Supplement for elderly cat with heart murmur

My 19yo cat was diagnosed with a heart murmur. After much research I wanted a cardiovascular supplement to keep him as healthy as possible so I chose this. It was an easy decision as he already takes Vetri Science Senior Multi vitamin. I owe his longevity to my belief in supplements

Something has changed

I've been buying this product for a few years now. The last two bottles have been inconsistent with what's inside the capsules. I empty them into wet food and some are dry powder and some are gummy and dark brown like they got wet. A few of the ones with dry powder had significantly different amounts as well. I've noticed a change in the VetriScience Renal Essentials as well. They have to be handled carefully or they crumble in your fingers and it appears there is a large amount of powder in the bottom of the bottle from this issue. I'm hoping this is a temporary manufacturing issue as I want to continue to buy the products but I'm getting concerned there are quality control issues again. A few years ago it was multiple capsules that were broken in the bottle.

My breeder told me to purchase this I purchased the capsules and I cannot get my dog to take it without poking it down her throat which could cause damage She will not take them in a pill pocket I have to open the capsules and mix it with a raw egg to get her to eat it daily Next time I may consider spending more for 30 doses less and getting the chews. Its a work in progress

Seems to be working!

Have been giving this to my senior chihuahua with heart condition. She does take the usual heart pills but was still coughing. Ive noticed in the week I have been using this, her coughing and breathing heavy is less. Pills come in large capsule with powder inside. I cut one end and shake some out onto a piece of wet dog food and cover with another sliver (hide it in middle).. she eats it right up. Im very happy I bought these. I feel its helping her live more normally without breathing stress when she exerts herself.

Smelly like rancid

I bought this same pill for my dog 2 months ago. First bottle of pills smelled rancid but kept giving to my dog to help her heart. Second bottle I received today, opened and it had NO smell. What happened? I'm not complaining on the new one, but there's some quality control needed. They seem to help anyway.
