I'm a medical student and wanted to know more about healthcare policy and this is an amazing book that every American should read!!!! It's clear and easy to understand and so so important.

This book was for a course in my MPH program But I really liked how it was written. It gives a patients perspectives on what its like to be in different health care systems around the world. A bit dated but still a good overview

Healing of America provides a didactic and informative rundown on how American healthcare is a disaster. If Americans can take lessons from the healthcare systems of foreign wealthy nations, then our healthcare can reach a higher level of moral clarity in terms of distributive justice.

Anyone that works in healthcare or interacts with healthcare would benefit from reading this. I thought a book about health policy would be a slow boring read, but this book keeps me entertained and teaches a lot at the same time.
