Details: Black currant oil is extracted from black currant seeds to produce a valuable nutritional oil with 14% GLA. The omega-3, alpha-linolenic acid and the omega-6, gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), are both considered essential fatty acids. Although the body can manufacture GLA from other dietary omega-6 fatty acids, GLA can be more efficiently utilized for body functions when supplied directly through dietary sources. NOW Black Currant Oil is expeller-pressed and hexane-free. This double strength softgel has twice the black currant oil (1,000 mg) as in our regular strength product (500 mg). Natural color variation may occur in this product.

Help for Dry Eyes

I bought this product to help with dry eyes. I had run out of a similar product and found this one. It takes time for it to help, so don't know if it is helping yet.

Best value for black current

First of all, dont pay any attention to reviews that say this product uses hexane. Does not use it at all, at least according to the bottle. This product has the best value for your money for black currant oil products. Ive only been taking it a week or two and have noticed a very definite difference with my dry eye syndrome.

Ive been taking these about two a morning with fish oil the past almost thirty days. I had lasik and have dry eye in my left eye to a point where my whole life is affected from discomfort. I am very sensory. I HAVE noticed that I seem to have more thicker lubrication in my eye. Its actually very welcomed and I am suprised. I probably will never stop this stuff. People said it erased belly fat lol haven't seen that happen my little tummy is still there.
