Details: SAMe (S-adenosylmethionine) is a metabolite present in all living cells. It functions as a donor of methyl groups in over 100 different reactions and contributes to the synthesis, activation and/or metabolism of hormones, neurotransmitters, nucleic acids, phospholipids and proteins. Methyl groups act as a signal throughout the body, regulating genetic expression and cellular function. SAMe also functions as a precursor molecule for glutathione and promotes polyamine synthesis to promote healthy cellular function. It may also promote healthy protein turnover and maintains healthy phospholipid methylation to support phosphatidylcholine production and cellular membrane integrity and fluidity. Incredible Product BUT..?..

This version of SAM-E has been a life saver for me-many times over! But it is a joke to have it only last for about 6 months before the light powdery contents of each capsule solidify and turn hard as a rock. It also turns from a white powder to a dark odd yellow color when it gets hard. It also gains an odd strong smell to it at this time. This also completely changes how it reacts to my body. If you are a person that would use it up quickly than obviously this situation should not be an issue for you. One other thing that I find very annoying is that the Pure Encapsulations company has no options to contact them for customer service. The only offer a phone number that does not work at all.

Nearly the entire bottle spoiled

After a few weeks of opening the bottle, the bottle spoiled and I had to throw it out. The pills turned rock solid. I have never had anything like this happen before, it was very strange.
