Horrible smell

They changed these since my last bottle. Now you can see all the liquid in the capsule and the smell is unbearable. Smells like when seaweed that got washed up on the shore. But worse. I just hold my nose when taking them, that way I dont get that gross fishy taste.

Carrageenan free.

This has a slight fish taste, it's easy to swallow. These are free from carrageenan & fish oil. So far this is my favorite brand to use.

I was feeling worse..

I have been diagnosed with GERD, IBS, gastritis and a very small hiatal hernia. In the past I have been taken PPI and other acid meds. Over time these medications were just not working. Actually, I was feeling worse... often constipated, stomach inflamation, etc.. I then decided to see another MD who specializes in nutrition. I found I needed to seriously watch my diet... no sugar, chocolate, coffee, packaged foods. I also went gluten free, soy free, dairy free. I also eat organic foods whenever I can. It was hard, but I decided my health and feeling better was very important to me. Over time I have started feeling better. However, I also am doing the following... about 2 tbs. of milk of magnesia before bed, 1 oz. of aloe vera juice in warm 8 oz of warm water in the morning, a very good probiotic, and 1 capsule of GastroMend at dinner time. (As recommended by my dr.) I drink lots and lots of water throughout the day... mostly room temp. I really have started to notice the difference. I actually feel better! I am starting to have some decaf coffee in the morning and seem to be doing ok. I truly hope I continue to feel better. I really do feel the GastroMend has really helped!

which gives you more DHA per pill. I'd rather take 2 pills and not be itchy.

Updated June 2014 - terrible terrible fish smell after a few months

Opened the bottle, there was no smell like some of the complaints I read about, so that is awesome. No smell at all (good or bad), all the capsules are in tact and of good color. Take 2 a day. *********************************** updated june 2014 *********************************** This problem started a few months ago now, maybe in March. As soon as you open the cap to the bottle the absolute worst fish smell is all you smell. It is overwhelming. Does this mean it is now rancid or expired? The expiration date is not for some time, though. What gives?
