As a vegetarian who doesn't use much table salt (big source of iodine for most Americans), I figured I should take an iodine supplement. I don't take a multivitamin and don't eat any meat or fish. The first night I took it I woke up around 5:30am and couldn't fall back asleep. It definitely helps with my tendency to oversleep. Though after taking it for a week the being fully awake at 6am effect went away. However, I no longer feel like sleeping all day and couldn't even if I wanted to. It's helpful at getting my body the daily recommended dose of iodine. If you're a vegetarian or vegan or someone who doesn't use much iodized salt consider how much iodine you're getting in your diet and ask your doctor if supplementing with iodine is right for you. It's supposed to be good for thyroid health and preventing goiters.

I take one every day, with Psyllium Husks. Haven't been sick since I started about 5 years ago. Most colds start in the guts. To keep my guts clear and moving I take 7 Psyllium Husk capsules, 1 Reuteri Probiotic, and drink it down with a cup of AirBorne effervescent tablet. This combination keeps my guts moving, keeps me healthy, and any attack that wants to ferment in my guts gets pushed out before it can damage my health.
