These pills seemed to pep up my pup (10 year old Golden). Perhaps it was just my hope that made it seem that way, but they do seem to work. I cannot rate the pain relief higher than 4 since the pain is not mine. As to value for the money, I have not priced similarly recommended products, but as long as they seem to help, I will continue to purchase them. As to flavor; I have no idea. I have not tasted them. I hid them in the kibble to get her to eat them, as she did not voluntarily down them when I initially offered them alone. I judge by this that they are not particularly tasty.
